BLEND it

One of mine friends, Manami is a designer at Proefdesigns and she also writes a blog Proef.
Her blog topics covers from design, art, fashion to culture and philosophy with her wit and sharp analytical point of view.
Every time I check at her blog I can discover something new and interesting.
As she mention this on her blog, I love the way this BLEND magazine uses pages and how they are edited, especially on the Jil Sander's The Modern Minimalistist...it's just awesome.
I laughed when I saw this YouTube link because it's so lavish and decadent!
Simple but striking.

Dress Up the Dress Down

You don't want to have too much of a "made up" look.
There is a saying for this: 'you are worn by the clothes rather than you are wearing them'.
In Japan, we often say 'Ki-ku-zu-shu' (着崩す)meaning break the look by adding something completely the opposite.
In this case, adding casual items in order to make a 'miss-match' look.
For me, I'm all about this whenever I style myself -'Crash and add an odd thing' makes everyday look more fun!
